Are you a highly organised, detail-oriented professional ready to kickstart or accelerate your career in Human Resources? We are seeking a proactive HR Assistant to play a vital role in supporting our comprehensive HR service within a thriving large secondary and upper school.
This isn't just an administrative role; it's a fantastic opportunity for skills enhancement and professional development within the dynamic education sector.
You'll work closely with our HR Manager and Director of People & Culture, gaining invaluable experience across a wide spectrum of HR functions, including:
Payroll Administration Support: Monitoring claims and meticulous payroll checklist completion and maintenance.
Essential Record Keeping: Ensuring accuracy of staff records and the Single Central Record.
Recruitment Administration: Contributing to all phases of our recruitment process from advertising and shortlisting, through to seamless onboarding and new starter inductions.
Probation Management: Maintaining crucial records for new staff.
Staff Contractual Changes: Administration of staff changes including: starters, leavers, flexible working requests, mat/pat/adoption/SPL leave, contract variations, and annual pay increases.
Absence Management Administration: Assisting the Headteacher with vital absence information and liaising with our Cover Manager.
We're looking for someone who:
Possesses excellent communication skills and an eagle eye for detail.
Thrives under pressure, demonstrating a strong ability to prioritise and multitask.
Is systematic, process-driven, and excels at record-keeping.
Is ready to take the next step and progress in their HR career.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm.
